Six years later…why does the retelling of a sad story leave us breathless, choked up and tearful? Love is the answer.

Real Grief – Real Healing, with Mindy Corporon #16 | When Grief Knocks You on Your Ass, Slow Down and Process It

Do you have a person in your life offering you the opportunity to slow down, long enough to feel? My person was my Granddaddy. He taught me the importance of slowing down, years before I needed to know why I even needed the lesson. I am sure glad I had his lesson.

Real Grief – Real Healing with Mindy Corporon #14 | Faith is Critical with Dr. Nicole Price

Only hours after my fourteen year-old son, Reat and father, William L Corporon, MD were murdered by a white supremacist, Josh, a fourteen year-old childhood friend of Reat’s told his father he needed to do something for our family. Within a few days white bracelets arrived with the phrase “Remember Reat Romans 8:28” and “Remember Popeye Romans 8:28”. Not knowing the verse at the time, I have since memorized it and learned to appreciate it more than I did at the time.

Romans 8:28 NIV “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”

Real Grief – Real Healing with Mindy Corporon #13 | Messages and Visions

In the beginning, there was a small yellow butterfly. This single yellow butterfly has helped me take flight into life after the deaths of my father and oldest son.
